Adult Rock Camp

What is ARC all about?
Do you wish you had something like Out Loud Louisville camp when you were a kid? Do you want to let loose for the weekend and play awesome music while supporting OLL? Then Adult Rock Camp is for you! ARC is similar to what youth do during our summer camp: receive instrument instruction, form a band, and write and perform an original song in just three to four days! In addition, you will attend a variety of workshops with topics related to being an empowered rocker.

Who can apply for ARC?
ARC is for any woman, trans (regardless of identity), or gender non-conforming individual over the age of 21 who wants to rock out while supporting OLL! There is absolutely no musical experience necessary and we will provide all instruments for all who attend.

How much is tuition?
Tuition for ARC will be on a sliding scale based on how much you are able to contribute. All proceeds from ARC go directly to supporting future Out Loud Louisville programming. Meals and drinks included!

How can I apply?
Applications usually open in late summer. We do not anticipate holding an ARC in 2023 but may return in 2024. Please check back in 2024 for more information!

Camp Schedule:
Sample Schedule: Thurs. 6-9 pm/Fri 6-9 pm/ Sat. 10 am-8 pm/Sun 10 am-3 pm
Showcase concert starts at 7 pm.

What is the time commitment for ARC?
We ask that all participants commit to all sessions of camp. Please check out the sample schedule below
to be sure you will be able to commit to the duration of the program!

Where will the Adult Rock Camp & performance be held?
In the past ARC has been held at LaLaLand Studios with a virtual livestream showcase component.

Do you only teach Rock Music?
NO! We support all the ways folks want to “rock” — whatever that means to them! We teach, listen to, and love all sorts of music from rock to hip-hop, jazz to folk, pop to punk! Participants are encouraged to explore and create any kind of music that they feel passionate about!
